So here we are, explaining a game to our Chaingurians, like any self-respecting game is easier to understand it while playing than learning how to play while reading the instructions, but we accept the challenge and we will try to make it simple, after all we are Gurus..we should be able to!
Start: obviously you have connected your wallet to chainguru.app , signed using web 3 sign-in through your wallet (this is requested every 24 hours from your last interaction with the dApp) and customized your Avatar so you are ready to play in the Short&Long section of the dApp.
Next step: you choose a cryptocurrency in “Find coins” and you make your forecast concerning the price value:
if you think it will increase → you LONG
if you think it will decrease → you SHORT
from the moment of your decision the countdown of the forecast will start and in 24 hours you will be able to call the result, if you nailed it you gain 50 XP points.
You will see the positive results displayed in the LONG COMBO if it was a LONG or otherwise in SHORT COMBO if it was a SHORT.
Further step: you repeat the same process until you reach 7 total forecasts active.
Let’s stop here for a moment trying to guess and prevent your possible questions so far, with some statements:
-you can make any number of forecasts you prefer reaching a maximum of 7 active forecasts, they can be less of course, this way you will have less chances to gain XP points.
-you can make your forecasts at different time and moments, each forecast is going to remain active for 24 hours and it is independent from the others, you will see a specific countdown for each forecast
-you can mix shorts with longs, this involves more time to complete the COMBO of 7 guessed forecasts per domain (short or long)
Let’s deep dive into the COMBO MECHANIC that gives you extra bonus XP points to escalate faster the Leaderboard!
Every time you accomplish 7 guessed forecasts in a row in a domain (short or long) you gain double points for each forecast, let us be pedantic with an example:
New 7 forecasts in the long domain in the next 24 hours with LONG BONUS ACTIVATED means that:
your 8th guessed long in a row it worth 100 XP points and so on until you call a non-guessed long forecast, that DEACTIVATES the bonus and so your next guessed long will worth 50 XP points, until you reach again the 7th guessed long in a row!
Same exact thing happens, in a separate way, with BONUS SHORT with shorts.
Let’s press pause again and let us try to guess and prevent your possible questions at this point.
Situation: you have the bonus activated and you see that in your current set of 7 forecasts, for instance, 5 are correct and 2 are wrong.
You can decide to call the results of the 5 right ones and not to call the 2 wrong ones, this means you will have your BONUS still intact and activated, but you can set only 5 new forecasts as you still have the wrong ones ACTIVE, this is your decision to make according to your personal strategy.
